Brows really do have the power of making or breaking your makeup look which is why it’s so important to have the right products and tools to define them. When I heard that Huda Beauty will be releasing her first brow product, Bomb Brows Microshade Brow Pencil, I knew that I had to try it. The pencil has been advertised as waterproof, smudge proof, transfer proof and give a 24-hour wear. It is available is 8 shades and I got the shade rich brown.

Huda’s brow pencil features an ultra-fine tip at 0.9mm, making it the world’s thinnest brow pencil to be on the market so far. The pencil is infused with a blend of vitamin E, castor oil and coconut oil and comes as a retractable brow pencil at one end and a spoolie at the other.

The purpose of this pencil is to concentrate on micro-shading in sparse areas rather than filling the entire brow. Huda herself has advised to use a light hand when using this due to the level of pigmentation.
I was really excited to try this out and ordered it soon after it released. I was a little surprised upon receiving as it really is the thinnest brow I’ve ever seen and if I’m completely honest I was a little disappointed at the amount of product you get, I did expect it to be more, but I guessed that if it was as pigmented as Huda said it is then you won’t use much product therefore making it last longer.

My thoughts:
So, when I first tried the pencil, I did make the mistake of using too much pressure and had to blend it out to look more natural, when I completed the rest of my brows, I used a light hand and easily made hair like strokes.
To put the brow pencil to test, I showered almost straight after trying the pencil and kept it on for a whole 24 hours. I have to say that the staying power is amazing! It did fade a little from one brow but ultimately it held better than any brow pencil I’ve ever tried.
