Pixi Beauty Clarity Collection Review

Pixi Beauty has a range of both makeup and skincare to tailor to everybody’s needs. Pixi very kindly gifted me their Clarity Collection, which features their Clarity Cleanser, Clarity Tonic, Clarity Concentrate, Clarity Lotion and Zero Zit.

The collection is made for all skin types and features a baby blue and matte avocado green theme throughout its packaging making it easier to differentiate between the different ranges they have to offer.

The Pixi Clarity Cleanser is a gel cleanser that hydrates while gently cleansing your skin and works to minimise breakouts. It features a powerful trio of Salicylic, Latic and Glycolic Acids to help refresh and exfoliate while probiotics balance and preserve. or oily skin.

I initially thought the cleanser would be too harsh for my skin but it works well as part of a rotation routine by using it every two-three days. A clear gel that leaves the skin feeling fresh, suitable for all skin types but ideal for those with combination.

The Clarifying Tonic made with potent AHAs, Antioxidants and balancing Probiotics helps to clear skin and minimise the appearance of pores. Pixi always get it right when it comes to their toners, and the clarity tonic is no exception. It’s calming on the skin and helps to decongest. The formula is Alcohol-free and Paraben-free.

The Clarifying Serum, an effective, water-based serum to help minimise the look of pores, resulting in a clarifying effect. It gently exfoliates as well as hydrates and balances, helping to refine and promote an even skin tone for a smoother, less breakout-prone complexion. The serum absorbs quite quickly into the skin and due its watery texture it layers well with other products.

The Clarity Lotion, a light-textured, water-based, and oil-free formula boosts hydration of the skin while minimising the appearance of pores and keeping complexion matte and shine-free. The moisturiser contains Salicylic Acid and Kaolin, which helps draw out excess oils but also contains ceramides, so the skin isn’t completely dried out. I found that this is the only product from the Clarity range that isn’t really for me, this will work well for those who have oily or combination skin as it leave the skin with a matte finish.

Lightweight and quick absorbing, the Zero Zit helps minimise redness and swelling. I found that this product actually is effective in reducing the swelling and does help calm the redness of breakouts. This has been advertised to also be able to help prevent further breakouts, but I personally won’t use this to do so as it can be quite drying on the skin, however, I will definitely be using this when I get breakouts.

All five products from the clarity collection show that clarifying skincare doesn't need to strip the skin. The products do work together as a full regimen as well as individually as they layer well with other products.
